Cardiff University’s Canoe Polo Tournament (CUCP) is held at Taff Bargoed annually in March, and is organised by Cardiff University Kayakers with support from Aberfan Canoe Club.
The tournament attracts college and university Canoe Polo teams from all over the United Kingdom who travel to compete against each other at the weekend long event.

Most clubs in South and West Wales participate in the South West Region league held in Cheltenham, which has 5 divisions.
There are four divisions in the national league, Division 1 – 3 and Prem.
Division 3 South West, and one round of Division 2 South is held at Taff Bargoed.
